The next generation Cloudswift by On Running is an update with actual improvements. I liked the previous model, but this is a much smoother ride overall. The biodegradable Speedboard adds extra snap to the rockered midsole it’s encased in. This setup helps guide you through toe-off without being too pushy. The Helion super foam is supple, but not too soft. It’s the right amount of cushioning for feeling fast, but not beaten up. These shoes are’t pillows, but if you want ground feel without sacrificing protection, they deliver. I’m really pleased with the new quarter cage’s softer material. You can get a much better synch down at midfoot without any slipping. These kicks have my stamp of approval. My longest run in them was 19K and my shortest was 10K. I had no issues with traction on wet pavement or groomed trails.
