Rethinking Performance: a walk perspective (for runners and walkers)!
Are you a runner wanting to improve your performance? Power walking techniques for cross training can improve your running speed! Are you a walker wanting to take your walk to the next level? Learn how applying a four-progression technique to walking can dramatically improve both workout and speed
At this free 2-hour workshop you’ll get a fresh perspective on how to improve your performance using power walking techniques in your training and cross-training. Wear workout gear because we’ll be going outside to practice!
Workshop leader, Lee Scott has been coaching power walkers to compete in races of all distances for more than 12 years. She has power walked 26 marathons and countless shorter races, winning many that offer walk divisions. Educated as a mechanical engineer, Lee has been working in the fitness industry for more than 23 years. She is well-known in the fitness and race community as an expert on power walking, speaking at conferences and race expos across North America. In addition, she is a certified yoga instructor and has a special interest in nutrition for a healthy and active life.
