The North Face Better Than Naked Singlet men's
The Runners Shop, Canada's oldest specialty running store. We've been helping runners, walkers, and fitness enthusiasts since 1975. That means that in 2017 we are 42 years young!!!
The Runners Shop is staffed by friendly runners equipped with exceptional product knowledge and relevant experience. Since we understand how important it is to be physically active, we enjoy interacting with our customers and supporting them in their efforts to stay healthy.
Since 1975, The Runners Shop has been helping runners, walkers and fitness enthusiasts in selecting their footwear. The store's founder, David Ellis, enjoyed a career as an international caliber runner, competing for both Great Britain and Canada in the Commonwealth and Olympic Games. It was this passion and commitment to running that led David to open The Runners Shop.
From 1975 to 1997, David and his staff developed a clientele of runners and walkers looking for specialized shoes and product knowledge. When David Ellis retired in 1997, he wanted someone to carry on the tradition of Canada's oldest specialty running store, so he sold the business to Elaine McCrea.
Like many others, Elaine purchased her first pair of "real running shoes" from Dave while she was still in high school. In the years between high school and taking over The Runners Shop she was a competitive runner, studied Kinesiology and worked in specialty running retail for 10 years. She ran her first marathon in 1979 and now, over 30 years later, she's still a passionate runner, competing in marathons like Boston and Berlin. She's not only the owner of the store but also the coach for the popular Runners Shop running club.
The Runners Shop is firmly committed to our community and is a supporter of several local road races, triathlons and community fundraisers. We feel good about supporting organizations that promote fitness and friendly competition while at the same time providing an avenue for excellence in athletics.
