The METASPEED™ EDGE TOKYO shoe is THE pinnacle racing product, designed for cadence-style runners who are looking to start fast and finish faster. Runners wearing these shoes will be able to increase their speed by increasing number of strides and conserve energy with each step.

The newly designed FF LEAP™ foam technology is super lightweight and bouncy. It's strategically positioned in the midsole's top layer to help provide more cushioning and a higher energy return. The bottom layer of the midsole implements FF TURBO™ PLUS cushioning. This configuration enhances the foam's responsive properties while creating better stability so your heel doesn't sink at mid-stance.

Thanks to a carbon plate, runners wearing these shoes will be able to conserve more energy while maintaining their pace at the later stages of the race. This property will also help you to kick-through the 30km wall.

ASICS claims the Sky Tokyo is 18.8% more energy efficient than the Sky Paris.

UPPER

  • MOTION WRAP™ 3.0 a lightweight technical engineered woven material that helps lock the foot onto the shoes platform.

MIDSOLE

  • FF TURBO™ PLUS cushioning midsole foam is extremely lightweight and bouncier than FF TURBO™ cushioning. It's designed for an even more advanced energy return and cushioning experience during your run.
  • FF LEAP™ cushioning midsole foam is super bouncy and lightweight. It's designed to help provide a higher energy return and better cushioning under the forefoot area.
  • Carbon plate that helps you conserve energy by preventing heel drop while generating forward propulsion.
  • Curved sole design helps runners conserve more energy in each step. 

OUTSOLE

  • ASICSGRIP™ rubber proprietary outsole that provides advanced grip on a variety of terrain.
